During a 5-night, 6-day intensive residential training,
participants undertake a compre-hensive integration of HST theory and practice.
Through sustained embodiment of the core and supporting practices within the silent retreat setting,
group teaching practicums and structured peer feedback cultivate the pedagogical, experiential,
and ethical competencies required of Heartsmiler instructors.
Individual in-depth interviews are conducted to evaluate each participant’s depth of realization,
professional readiness, and eligibility for certification as a Heartsmiler.
